Big Hearts in Jarvis, Ontario
This Sunday, Stu and I visited Wesley United Church in Jarvis, Ontario.
Wesley United Church have believed in us from the very beginning. We spoke at the church a little over a year and a half ago, after our first trip to El Salvador. It was nice to return and show our progress we have made as a charity. The church is constantly fundraising to help support our programs and have raised well over $1000 for WTA. They are one of our biggest community supporters.
The latest fundraiser involves a lot of pennies. They are currently aiming to raise over $800 in pennies! That is a lot of pennies and of course a lot of rolling
. The idea came from the children who attend Sunday School. After our presentation today we had a few minutes to talk to the children and take their picture. I have pasted it below along with a picture of myself with two members from the United Church Outreach Committee.
Their kind donations will go directly towards our feeding program in Kenya.
Thank you again Wesley United Church for your ongoing support. WTA and many children in Africa appreciate your generosity.
