School Set To Open March 25th!
It’s not to far away now!
Stu will be heading out to Nairobi this Tuesday to open our first school in Kenya!
We are so excited about this, and extremely grateful to all of our donors and friends who have helped make this happen. The school has eight classrooms and an administration block. The school, we originally thought would be home to 360 children, but it turns out it will be for close to 600 kids!! WOW.
All the final details are coming toghter. Irene, who we are working with from VICDA, has been busy helping organize the big day. In attendance will be three Permanent Secretaries from the local government and the Minister for Special
Programs will be the chief guest. As well as all Nakuru and Rongai provincial administration has also been requested to be there. They will also be providing tents and chairs for the guests.
For this special day we have also hired a local camera man and videographer to capture the moments to bring back to you and to all of our donors.
Accompanying Stu, will be another member from our Board of Directors, David Frey.
Between the two of them, the should come back with some wonderful stories and footage to share with us.
I will be sure to update as I hear more.
Thanks everyone!
